We offer six programs: After School Adventure Camp (ages 5-12), Drop-In Teen Centre (ages 11-17), Breakfast Programs (all school ages, free), Power Hour (Grades 1-5), Raise the Grade tutoring (teens, free), and Summer Camp (ages 5-12).
Our programs serve children and youth from ages 5 to 17. We also provide mentoring for young adults through our Raise the Grade program.
After School Adventure Camp: Mon-Fri 1:30-6:00 PM. Drop-In Regular: 2:45-5:45 PM, After Hours: 6:00-9:00 PM. Breakfast: 7:45-8:15 AM. Power Hour: Lunch period. Summer Camp: Full days during summer break.
Yes! The After School Adventure Camp picks up children from Claude D. Taylor, Frank L. Bowser, Riverview Middle School, West Riverview, and Riverview East schools.
Yes. Our After School Adventure Camp is a licensed childcare program that meets all Department of Education and Early Childhood Development operating standards.
Absolutely. Every staff member and volunteer undergoes a mandatory criminal record check before working with children.
Yes. All program staff are certified in First Aid and CPR.
We follow the BGC Canada Model for Success, the Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets framework, and the Canadian Centre for Child Protection's Commit To Kids program.
Costs vary by program: After School Camp $105/week, Drop-In $25/year, Breakfast Programs free, Power Hour $10 per session, Raise the Grade free, Summer Camp $140/week. Sibling discounts available.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and undergo a criminal record check. We provide orientation and training for all new volunteers.
It depends on the role. Some positions (like breakfast program) require regular weekly commitment, while event volunteering is seasonal. We work with your schedule.
Yes! BGC Riverview is a registered Canadian charity (CRA #894505668RR0001). Tax receipts are issued for all donations of $20 or more.
