BGC Riverview (Riverview Boys and Girls Club) is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information of its employees, members, volunteers, donors, and other stakeholders. We comply with the Privacy Act and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information We Protect

All employees are responsible for handling client information in a confidential manner. Classified information includes but is not limited to:

• Client lists and contact information
• Medical histories and health information
• Personal information of members and their families
• Labour relations and employment information
• Club operations and internal records
• Visitor and volunteer information

Confidentiality

All staff, volunteers, and board members are required to maintain confidentiality of personal information both during and after their association with BGC Riverview. This obligation continues after employment or volunteer service has ended.

Exceptions

The only exception to this policy is when disclosure is required by court order or by law. In such cases, BGC Riverview will comply with the legal obligation while providing notice to affected individuals where permitted.
