Why It Matters

1 in 5 Canadian children is at risk of starting the school day on an empty stomach. Nearly 1 million Canadian children lack access to breakfast daily. A hungry child can't focus, learn, or reach their potential.

Our breakfast programs at Riverview East School and West Riverview School change that reality for hundreds of children every school day. For over 20 years, we've been there every morning — rain, snow, or shine — to make sure no child starts the day hungry.

Funded in part by Breakfast Clubs of Canada and supported by the Rotary Club of Moncton West & Riverview, our breakfast programs are one of the most impactful things we do.

"When you put that bowl of cereal or you put that toast on the counter, and this small five year old looks up at you as if you've just given them the best Christmas present, that's an impactful moment that's going to stay with you for a very long time."
